This series has covered mostly big-picture production thus far, but right now we’re zooming in on the little details that make our bags amazing—handles, locks, zippers, monograms, and more. First up are the brass locks featured on our Arc and new Lockbox handbags.

The Lockbox Handbag

The inspiration for the clasp design on these handbags came from creative director Lindy’s love of vintage pieces and is based off of a deadstock 1930’s lock that she found and fell in love with. Now sibling bags Arc and Lockbox share this shiny feature that makes all of our hearts pitter-patter with desire.

The Lockbox Handbag

The lock is solid-cast brass custom made in Europe especially for Lotuff. There is no denying its quality when beheld and held. The perfect weight and smooth as silk, it is a dream to work with, and even more of a dream to handle on a daily basis while getting in and out of these bags. The tiny semi-tubular rivets that attach the lock to the bag remain consistent with the solid brass quality. And we’re talking tiny. We’re talking miniscule. We’re talking, wow, every minute detail matters the world to us.

Lock & Key

The key that is paired with these clasping beauties is made from the same superior solid brass, and is secured to each bag with a leather monogrammed key fob. How. Very. Delightful.
