Music City--Nashville, Tennessee--is a place that lives and breathes great music and decadent, delicious food. With a little bit of quirkiness and a whole lot of Southern hospitality, it's a city that's both classic country and refreshingly modern. 

Nashville is a city that stays up late. So good coffee, served early and often, is a must. Luckily, Barista Parlor, nationally recognized for its comprehensive attention to detail, can be found in three of the city's best neighborhoods. Its Gulchtown location, in particular, is housed in a former car stereo garage. 

Another pick-me-up can be found in a serving of Nashville's specialty--hot chicken. Hot is an understatement. This chicken, spiced with lots of cayenne pepper, induces tears within the first bite. The no-frills Bolton's, located in East Nashville, is among the city's best. 

Rolf and Daughters, a comfortable yet refined dining spot in Germantown, offers cuisine that meets at the intersection of Italy and Tennessee. The bright, open, exposed-brick dining room is housed in a century-old factory building. 

Nashville hums along to music of its own making. As the center of the country music industry, good talent can be found around nearly every corner. Bars and clubs play host to tomorrow's next star, but the true fun can be found at the city's honky tonks, located on the bustling, electric Lower Broadway. 

But the best, inarguably, is Robert's Western World. Each night of the week, Robert's serves live music from some of the city's most talented acts. Dedicated locals and international tourists alike two-step and waltz into the early hours of the morning.
